Bob,

>>I wouldn't even give them that much of a 50/50 chance! Why not ask, "What is the firing sequence of form events when a form starts up and when it closes down?"

>That information is documented, why would I need to memorize it? You can't expect someone to know EVERY aspect of VFP.

>Next you'll ask me to name all the properties of the Active Document class. Heck, I don't even know if I could name all the classes of the top of my head, espessially under the pressure of an interview.

I would *not* expect a job candidate to get it all right -- that is a lot to remember.

My point was that asking that kind of question will be very revealing about level of experience or study. Someone who at least knows the names of more than half of the form events, and knows something *close* to the correct firing sequence is probably someone with experience in VFP-style coding.
