Recently I had a customer complain that they are missing records in 1 of 3 related files while there are processing
the child records exist in the to child tables but the parent table records are gone, I even browsed through
the deleted records but they were not there. This error would not happen every time they added new records
but just once in a while. I looked an the save code in the proggram and basically it was doing 3 table updates on the 3
files within a transaction. I ended up taking out the begin and end transaction and just leaving the 3 tableupdates and
this seems to have solved the problem. I have 2 other sites that seem to loose records randomly also, and all three
sites are running WIN NT networks. I have about 150 other sites that are running the same system on novell, win95 and 98
networks and have not run into any situations where the system is dropping records. In a nut shell I was just wondering
if there are any known problems with using transactions on WIN NT networks. running under vfp 5.0 or vfp 6.0
