That reminds me of an article that Tamar G wrote in the FPA. Was a very inciteful article about who owns the computer. From what I remember, she had installed a program that overwrote several system files and made existing applications unrunable.
I think as programmers, we often overlook the fact that it is not our computer, and we should respect the existing settings/files.
