PMFJI, but I justed wanted to throw some thoughts out.

First or all, retail stores have sales quotas for everything, merchandise and service contracts. Usually there is a commission on the amount of merchandise you sell and a separate commission on the number and amount of service contracts you sell. There is an incentive for your sales person to bring up the service contract once.

However, I am with Ed WRT pushy sales people. Ed already said no and that should be the end to it. If the sales person is any good, they should be able to read the customer somewhat. From his posts, Ed doesn't strike me as the kind of person that would convey an aura of vagueness *s*. I am sure the No came out quite clear with the proper meaning. Beating on it, especially when your competitor is right down the block, is just plain stupid IMO.
