>DOH, the ODBC source defaulted to named pipes, changed it TCP/IP and got the load time down from 88 minutes to 18 minutes... Gonna tweak the temp file settings as you suggested and go from there. Good idea on the temp file location, the system partition is the C drive, default for VFP temp file. It only has about 1 gig free, whereas the D partition has 9 gig free.

You allso might want to look at tunning the VFP memory ussage. If you have alot of virtual memory, this can actually slow down VFP cause it will use as much 'memory' as it can. Look at the Sys(3050). Start with setting it to half of your physical memory first. Test, adjust, test. Each machine will have a different optimum setting.
