Seriously, knowlegeable VFP developers aren't becoming a "rare species" -- they're just not available because:
1) they're busy right now in decent paying, responsible positions;
2) their consulting businesses have more work than they can handle; or
3) they've added other specialty areas which are (currently) more lucrative.
