Actually that's a very good thought. But I seem to recall posting a message up here about a year ago where GetFieldState(-1) didnt do me what I expected. I forget the circumstances, but I think I might of ended up avoiding using it in checking for dirty buffers because I didnt understand it's correct usage at the time... probably why my CheckBuffers() code always felt like a brute force. Hmmmmm.
