Actually, it's -always- something the programmer has failed to do in this case; either turning off the use of the resource file entirely in CONFIG.FPW, or assigning a location for the resource files explicitly, avoids this; you can always assign a resource file and acctivate it in code in your app later. Using a launcher app that contains an embedded CONFIG.FPW, or written in something other than VFP, to make sure the VFP app starts in the proper context, and with the right CONFIG specified, helps considerably.
