Ok, I didn't mean to come off sounding like a spammer with that high number, it's for scubadiving.com :) They have a huge newsletter list...
Ok, maybe I am a spammer, but it's the *good* kind, ours is strictly OPT-IN :)
>Umm, I know this sounds lame but I've never sent mail using MSMAPI :)
>My normal mail procedure is to connect to the database from a UNIX box and queue it up using sendmail.
>BTW, how do you verify your email addresses? It can eat up unnecessary resources if you have a string of bad email addresses (real life example, I have a database with 35K email addresses, I queue them up 250 at a time, if 250 end up bad, then they stay in the queue for x amount of time, clogging the pipe)
>My solution was to verify domains (usually about 10K, there are a lot of aol and earthlink and isp addresses out there) then sort by ping result from eash domain. It slows down the initial build-up of the list, but your server can spit them out much faster :)
