Read the doc on SelPrint and see if you've passed the right parameters. It explains this in the docs. The docs are your friend. Eventually, if you don't bother, people who know VB much better than I do may be less willing to dig a bit deeper when there's a real problem.

There are a number of self-teaching texts on VB, as well as on-line tutorials, and gobs of code. My gut reaction to all of these urgent requests for immediate assistance with basic issues paints a picture of the programmer who promised to deliver production code without really learning what the platform he would be using was capable of doing or how it worked.

I'm not a VB person by profession or design. I needed to learn VBA and VBScript, and in order to credibly assess VB vs other platforms, I needed some base knowledge to address it intelligently. Eventually, in spite of an initial negative perception of VB as a platform, I've found it to be invaluable in narrow circumstances, I didn't try to bs my clients into paying to get me up to a minimal level of confident, competent development.

There are also classes and direct mentoring available from real experts. If you're stuck, the best way out may be some classroom time or a hired gun.

My best advice would be to work through some basic tutorials to get a feel for how things work. If you've promised to deliver in VB and you've discovered that what you thought would be easy to learn as you go is not working out that way, be up-front with the client or employer, because the longer you go, the less opportunity to reassess and bring in needed resources is available.
