While I'm not sure of your specific requirements, we've had good luck with Socket/X from Mabry (http://www.mabry.com) - they've actually heard of VFP and test with it. While there were some problems with VFP 5.0, it's working fine in VFP 6.0 SP3. In some cases, the MS Winsock control provided all the functionality we needed.

The sample, which is written for VB, uses the SocketWrench control as a control array for the server. VFP does not support control arrays (at least as far as I've been able to discover in the documentation.) Does anyone have hints for working around this?
