Oh boy Glen, this is tough. The only way I can guess to do this is to find a font with all the symbols in it. Wingdings 2 doesnt cut it... oh but wait, the Symbol font has the circle X! And I believe Symbol is a pretty standard as far as Window installs go. So ok - here's my best guess, set the font name property on your combo to symbol and use the windows character map to get the keystokes to load into your array.

If that works you'll have one more concern later on, making sure the symbol font existings on the machines running the app.
