Thanks again for your help. I have also gotten a result by using the following:

{^1899-12-30}+ VAL(.ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1)

It works for both 03/01/1999 and 03/01/2000 so I assume it's leap year compliant... Do you think it is safe or should I change to your method?
