I'm not sure what you mean, " where to put the sum" Are you refering to the sum as in the function or method that does the summing or as the result of the function? The functional part in the example I gave you resides in a custom method of my form called sumextened. I call it from the grids refresh method as thisform.sumextended()
DODEFAULT()

The resultants are stored in the textboxs value property as you'll see in the last 3 lines of code.
