>Are WAIT windows modal? I remeber trying to use a wait window to stall a process soze I could invisibly/minimally RUN/N? some DOS exe that created a text file my process needed to continue. It didn't work. Neither did do while !file(DOSEXEOUTPUTFILE). I had to go back to RUN DOSEXE, to stall it.

WAIT WINDOWS are not modal, but they may require a keystroke to continue. Try a WAIT WINDOW NOWAIT if all you're interested in is showing progress.
