About Icon Maker for Win NT / Win 98 Ver 1.0

This software is freeware rather than shareware. This means that it is completely free for anybody to use without any limitations. This software is owned completely by the auther. Since this software is intended to be freeware, the authoer does not authorize the sale of this software.

From The Author
This is the first release of this software which was created because of the lack of any free software out there on the internet for creating icons. The most important features for me were the ability to easily create icon files with the three resolutions that Windows 98 & Windows NT use. Some of the tools available in this program might seem at first to be a bit much. When creating full color photo style icons, these tools provide the user with easy tools that resemble the same tools found in standard image editing programs.

The most important of these features is the ability to create anti aliased curved lines. When working on a 48 x 48 icon, this setting creates ellipses and slanted lines that appear to be smoother than lines created without the anti alias feature. Please note that the feature is not perfect and the user should experiment with the feature.

Bugs
Since even the most expensive software created has many design defects (bugs). It can be assumed that this software will contain some defects. Although every offort has been taken to find these defects, it’s impossible for me to duplicate every situation this software will encounter. If a bug is found in this software, I would like to hear about it so I can correct the problem.
