Title:
Selecting multiple entries
Hey it's Friday here!
I have a system that displays a grid, with passenger type, passenger name and room number. Currently the system generates default information for new records, and the user can enter information directly into the grid to update it. The Passenger type is chosen from a drop down list. The passenger name and room number are text boxes. This works fine, and my client is happy with being able to enter the information quickly (they are often on the phone, w/their customer, as they are entering the data).
My client would like to be able to select multiple entries and change the passenger type. He'd like to use his mouse to drag to select entries, and this is where I'm having trouble.
I just looked at the List box and it looks like multiple entries can be selected, fine. I could use a control or a right click to make the change. But then the user loses the ability to enter data directly into the grid control.
I know how to use a grid, w/a "select" column, but wonder if there is any way to offer my client when he wants?
Input is appreciated. J
