I would just go to:
http:\\technet.oracle.com\
And down load either Oracle Lite 8i or Oracle8i
and Install it on your windows home CPU.
You can use it for homework ect. single user without paying for it.
If you want to go into production you will need to pay.
Oracle 8i lite does not have all the features of oracle 8 but it is a small foot print on your system and has most general functionallity good enough for home work ect.
Win2k is not supported on oracle but it might work.
