Mike I realize your making an analogy here (I hope...) but just to be technically anal, normal forms are strictly related to your data modal and have nothing to do with object heuristics. It's commonly to have an extensive data model normalized to the third form for ease of management and have objects that essentially denormalize certain items at runtime for the sake of rich UI features.
