I'll agree that "online fisticuffs" would be a bad idea *s*. Barry has been able to provide additional details (with his own emphasis) that I couldn't cuz of space - or cuz I didn't feel were important (my own emphasis.)

When you see two people provide their own eye-witness descriptions of an event, you're always going to get two different descriptions, even if they're standing side by side.

My recollection of some of these events over the past year is different, what is important to me (and, thus, what I emphasized) is different, and my opinion is different. (That's what an editorial is - it's an opinion *s*.) I was also limited, to an extent, about what I could say in public in order to respect private information that people shared with me. (And once in a while I get edited too. I was much more complimentary about the cool SQL/VFP deal in my original scribblings.)

I'm glad Barry had an opportunity to voice his opinion, and that, hopefully, we'll be able to agree to disagree. I believe I still owe him a beer regarding another matter altogether. *s*
