>Dawn, the new conventional wisdom is that you should be skeptical of the DELETED() index EVEN when there ARE deleted records in the table.
This also applies to other low selective indexes like an index on:
- Logical fields
- Gender
- or other fields that might contain only a very few distinctive values.
The reason behind this is that the indextag is growing large, and rushmore is forced to use this tag and downloads it into memory (wich can take a lot of time when it's a large table) and doesn't help rushmore to select the proper records (much).
