Thanks to the samples and Cetin (and some cut & try) I have that little word mailmerge with signatures going quite nicely.

One small problem has arisen though...

The signature graphic is a Linked file (not saved with the document). When I open the document, it takes a few seconds to update the link and display the signature. If I wait and then mailmerge to a new document, the merged letters show the signature... all is well. If I do the mailmerge before the link has updated, all of the merged letters contain that funny graphic that means (gee, doc... what picture?).

Is there a way to check that Word has opened the document and that the links have been updated *before* I issue the mailmerge.execute?
