David:
With the help of Dell, I finally got to the root of the problem. It seems like VFP6 has a problem with dual processors. I used the task manager to turn off the second processor and voila! all problems have dissapeared.
Since I know that VFP is multi-threaded and should not have this problem, they suggested I reinstall Visual Studio from the ground up and see if it fares better. Otherwise, Microsoft will be hearing from me.

>>I don't know what to make of this problem. I recently purchased a Dell Precision 420 workstation. It has dual 733's and all SCSI drives. I moved all my development projects over, installed Visual Foxpro 6, SP3, and now get sporadic problems with my projects.

>>Does anybody have similar problems out there?
