I've posted a document that describes this serious bug with the MS XMLDOM in Visual FoxPro at:

The page also includes a link to a VFP Wizard that will downgrade msxml.dll to an earlier version that does not have this bug.
Note you'll need IE4 or later VFP 6.0 in order to run the Downgrade Wizard.
