It's just the same as a 'standard' setup except that it goes to one folder, one BIIIG CAB file instead of breaking everything into 1.4MB floppy size. It's designed for inhouse networks as you said, but also for CD installations. With CD burners so common nowadays (if I have one, they're common :-) this is easier than carting around 15-25 floppy disks for a large installation.
