Thanks for your help. I'll modify my code tonight. About your grid focus issue, I have had more than my share of unexpected behavior when trying to control the focus (and behavior) while in a grid. My solution, while I am sure is not the only solution, is to use the grids for display purposes only. I control all data changes using unbound fields which then update the data tables (thereby updating the grids.) Since I have done that, the grid issues have all disappeared.
