Title:
Error on startup with Pentium lll processor
I have an application made with 2.6 which I have been using for several years. I recently tried it on a new HP computer
with a Pentium lll 550 processor and a fatal divide error came up as the program tried to start.
The program is on a CD with another small program, consisting of only one screen with several buttons to
launch the main program, view a txt file or run setup. This is activated with the autorun feature of W95.
The fatal error occurs at the start up of the program, before anything is on the screen.
I then tried it on a new notebook with a Celeron 450 processor and it also produced an error, but not fatal.
It just reported 'Foxpro error'. If this is ignored the program continues. It must be when the library file activates.
The error occurs when the autorun program is started and also when the main program is launched. If 'Ignore' is
clicked, the program runs normally with no problems.
Is there a known problem with FP2.6 and new Pentium processors?
