I can't speak for David, But I have several responses as to "why" that occur to me personally:

I let my subscription lapse. I'm missing 9/98 through 1/99, where Miriam Liskin covered FFC and other
topics not well documented in the base product. I am still waiting for Advisor since November '99 to send
these.

Sure, we can redebate the merits of Advisor recently. I rarely spend more than 15-30 minutes with each
issue. However, the one 'nugget' found makes the subscription cheap.

I may be from the old school, but I hate covering my 'virtual' desktop with online help when I'm deep into a
problem. My real desktop has the Hacker's Guide, VFP Language Reference, etc. spread around as
appropriate at the time. An issue of Advisor laying there is also sometimes useful.

Finally. the mag is just another resource for us to use, that to me still has some value. Others ideas and
solutions add greatly to my knowledge, and cause me to rethink what I do and I think do a better job. Just
my two cents.

And yes, I'll take the five issues mentioned above if you are willing to part with them, John.

Jim.
