>My printer was offline becuase LPT1 had wandered off. In the Device Manager Ports (COM & LPT) showed only my COM ports. It did not show my LPT1. Other Devices showed a Printer Port with a question mark. I deleted the Printer Port in Other Devices. Rebooted. Plug and Pray found my LPT1. The printer now works fine.
