Instead of creating a CDX, try creating an IDX (
INDEX ON fieldname TO filename.IDX
instead of
INDEX ON fieldname TAG fieldname
). I just played with it and it works fine (VFP6 SP3 on NT4WS). IDX files are even deleted by themselves when you close the cursor.
