www.stonefield.com You don't distribute the DBFs, just meta data, and the structures are built and updates from that.
What may make my application different is that it is distributed with populated data, according to specs. It's a predefined set of guidelines that various government agencies would use to become accredited. The existing guidelines are all read-only, and the application allows them to add and update various statements of status.
Therefore, unless the data is included in an importable format, I cannot just ship meta data---as far as I know. Plus, besides some fields being added, others have been combined, meaning that the data must be merged.
I've reviewed SDT on the Stonefield site and---because of the nature of this project---it appears that I have already built several of its features into the application.
