>>>Both machines have VFP 6.0, and both are running 800x600 video resolution. Machine #1 has Windows 95. Machine #2 has Windows 98SE.
>>>
>>>Using the same table, listing the same fields, Machine #1 lists the field contents in columns much closer together (and which can be output to a printer without encountering line wrap) than Machine #2.
>>>
>>>For my purpose, it was just convenient to be able to get a quick listing out to the printer without all the line wrap. I'm really curious now about what is going on. Would appreciate any input. TIA, Chuck Henry

To begin with, I figured that between the screen font and MEMOWIDTH settings, I probably had the key(s) to the answer, and I excitedly checked it. Anyway, thanks for the tips regarding these settings. However, have you got any other ideas about what might be causing my problem at hand? TIA.

Is the Arial font on both machines?
Is it the same video card in both machines?
Are both machines running at the same resolution? Same number of colors? Same version of the driver?

As you can see, there are many, many things that can have an effect on what you see, vs. what you get.

As an alternative, I think John Koziol posted a file up here called "LS" to deal with some of these problems. Have you tried that?
