I don't think it has much to do with the location of the control within your form. It seems to be more relavent to the position of the control within the VFP window, or maybe the position within the screen itself. It seems to be when the control is below the half way point of the screen, it goes up, and when the control is above the half way point of the screen it goes down. Just my observations, I have no idea how it really decides up or down. And without knowing how it really decides, I guess I don't know how to control it either.
