Actually, let me be a bit stronger and clear in this: I consider it bad programming practice under most circumstances not to use one's own bas class library, and do not accept in in my own programming environment.
One loses so much flexibility when using the VFP base classes that one may as well be using Visual Basic (did I say that? :)
The only exception to this rule that I use is a small .scx that is available in the public domain that manages current projects - by using the base classes, it does not have to be wrapped up in an .app.
Incidentally, I was a Clipper programmer in its heyday, too.
