Craig...

OK then... now we are getting to the heart of the matter. Craig, once again, I would suggest that until you have actually "done" something with respect to a topic you are commenting, it is best to couch your comments as such. I on the other hand have had to weave Word in many times as a spell checker for clients. That said, those articles on automation, particually with Word, are borne from experience, as opposed to white-coat/lab-rat theory.

Sorry to be so critical here Craig. It's just that I have a heard time with you criticizing an approach, when you have never applied the subject matter. Again, you do this a lot, speak on topics from the standpoint of having relevant experience and a real understanding of the subject matter. In reality, after I press you for some details, it often turns out to actually be something you have read or something you have heard about. Obviously, I am not as zestful as I used to be with such matters.

Yet again, I have been drawn into what could be an intelligent discussion. Again, in the end, it turns out that you begin a discussion with what appears to be very firm ground. After some poking and prodding on my part, you yet again come back with the same line of "well, I have never had a reason to do that..".

Craig, the whole basis of this discussion was in relation to what the client is requesting and in turn, how to best deliver on that request. If you have never delivered on such a request, would you please tell me how you have a point of view based on experience? The fact is, you don't. Your previous replies give the impression that you have bypassed the Word option in favor of something else. In reality, you have never done such a thing.

Please Craig, in the future, if you are going to take the time to debate me or engage me in a discussion, come to the table with some relevant point of view. Or, at the very least, qualify your point of view. That will tell me whether the post is worth a response...< s >...

>>Interesting approach....

>>So, if a user say's they want the Word spell checker integrated into their application, your first instinct would be to talk them out it?

>>I guess it begs the question as to what alternative you would suggest????

>I haven't used them, but Gaylen Hall has a couple of alternatives. Truthfully, up to this point, I haven't had the need for spell checking in my apps.
