This is a general question regarding the performance difference between creating a large VFP exe and creating a small exe that calls other fxp’s. What I have noticed is a general slow down in the performance of my exe, as it has been getting larger. The size of the exe is now approximately 18 Megs and contains four modules that are related but have different functions. It is like having a program for accounts receivable that contains invoicing, cash receipts, credit memo. Etc. My test data is static so I know my slow down is not related to the size of the data. But moving from module (form) to module is slowing down. However, within the development environment I can test each forms performance and it is very snappy. Even moving between forms is snappy. Compiling into an exe and then testing (on the same machine) it - is not even near the performance of the development environment. So does anyone have a clarification??????????????? If I’m right should I break the exe into small “App's” or just use FXP’s.
TIA
