Not Alt alone, but with another event you could determine ALTs state. Determining when ALT is pressed is worthless, because in the OS it just gets you to menues, but when you use ALT as Alternate behaviors (conincidence ;-) to clicking or pressing a key, it can be trapped with the nShift paremeter of the KeyPress() and MouseUp/Down() events
