Joe,

>I am doing an example in the WinSock Control docs. However I keep getting an error: "Wrong Protocol or connection state for the requested transaction or request." I have checked that the protocol is TCP and I am calling the Connect method. My IP address is correct. These examples are for Visual Basic is there something I need to do differently for VFP?

What specifically are you trying to do with the WinSock Control? If you're just wanting to send/receive by FTP, use wwIPStuff available from www.west-wind.com. I've used it, and it's very easy and well-supported. You'll save yourself lots of time and trouble.

If you must use the Winsock Control for some other reason, I'll defer to someone with experience using it.
