I have a function that used SQLSTRINGCONNECT()
to connect to Access tables. It was doing fine with versions of Access prior to Access 2000 and if the attempt filed I would get back a value of < 1. gnConnHand=SQLSTRINGCONNECT(lcConnString), however, is now causing a C0000005 error when trying to connect to an Access 2000 database.

My current machine had the Access ODBC Driver "Microsoft Access Driver" version 4.00.3711.08 on it and the DSN titled "MS Access 97 Database".

As a test, using the Jan. 2000 Development Platform and Office Test Platform disks, I got a newly formatted hard drive and installed Windows 98 / SP1, Office 2000 with data drivers, and finally VFP 6.0 / SP3 and then my app. My app still connected with Access 97 databases but crashed on the Northwind.mdb Access 2000 database.

I checked and the same ODBC drivers were installed with the same version numbers that I had had on my original machine.

Any ideas of what has changed, maybe in the SQLSTRINGCONNECT()systax, that might be causing this?
