when you're not anywhere at all. Rookie question.

In getting the hang of Automation with Word, I have managed to learn to launch, compose docs, save, print, etc.

What I can't do is close the doc effectively. When I finally run out of resources / memory, etc., this is evidenced by the fact that it asks me repeatedly as I shut down 'Save mydoc.doc? Save mydoc.doc? Save mydoc.doc? ...

Needless to say, I can't 'see' these on the task bar as I could if I opened them interactively. Where do they live?

And how do I dispose of them neatly when done?
