I am giving myself a headache. I am working on an idea for a large-scale project and I think I have too many technologies in there. I thought I would layer it like this, please comment:

I want to use VFP as the middle tier, pulling in data from Oracle and SQL-Server taking remote views of the data. The VFP application would be the callable from VFP front-ends *and* IIS. The VFP app might live on the same box as IIS, it might live on a completely different server.

For the "go-live" phase (not development), is it best to make the VFP app out-of-process or in-process?

Is it best to be in MTS or out of MTS?

Do I use FoxISAPI or not? Aren't there MTS compatibility problems?

How do I publish data from the VFP tier to VFP front ends? To other (eg, MS-Office) front ends? Always send things back as strings or arrays?

Help me think?
