I have a DBC on a remote machine,
data is INSERTed via a web page and ODBC,
a default value that I set in the table designer
is not appearing in the field after an INSERT.

So can someone help me understand...
Does the DBC have to be OPENED for
Default Values, Triggers, Stored Procedures to work
and
Does ODBC not OPEN the DBC unless told?
and how to do that if necessary?
