>I created 2 partitions in NT 4, a 2gb (boot/primary) and 6gb, thats all NT would recognizze from a 13 gb. Now, when I want to go in 2000 and formatt the leftovers as a third partition, I only get teh option to create a Primary Partition. I'm not sure I want this, do I? Otherwise, how can I create an extended one (like my 6gb)?

The simple answer is to update the ATAPI driver for your copy of NT to handle a larger than 8GB IDE drive, and then buy a copy of Partition Magic 4, and use that to add the excess space to your existing Extended partition. You can then extended the 6GB volume, or create another logical volume from the unallocated space in the Extended partition.

NTFAQ discusses some of the issues, and PM4 is the best solution I've found short of blowing out the existing EP and redoing it with Disk Administrator.
