I don't have experience in ORACLE environment, just want to share my experience in SQL-SERVER. Exporting data from local foxpro table to a back-end could take a time specially when your transferring data with memo field. Since you started exporting data thru remote view, records were continually checked for the uniqueness of the key-field in the "view".
