Phil,

>I want to study distributed application development in preferably VFP, or VB. Any recommendations?

You'll find plenty of relevant material, book excerpts and white papers in the MSDN library, which you have.

Also, I'd recommend the white papers at www.west-wind.com and Randy Brown's papers on MTS and MSMQ at msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro .

If you want a real physical book to hold -- check out "Building Component Based Applications" by Mary Kirtland. Mostly VB and VC examples, but a good overview of Microsoft's distributed vision as of a year or two ago.
