Having been an OZxxx user from 1991?? I liked what it did. It kept my online time to a minimum. I liked offline readers for newsgroups too.

As the Web transformed our interface, methoods and the like I am glad that messaging systems like the UT got their chance.

I'm a UT member and have been for quite some time. I just dropped my CIS account in 98 having it for almost 10 years.

FWIW, the money is better spent here.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

>>FWIW it's obvious you've never used Ozwin which kicks the pants off the interface here for speed, functionality, archival storage, searchability, sortability, threading, not to mention it isn't disabled to 60% of users like this place is.

>People seem to be either strongly in the CIS interface or UT interface camp. CIS is like message archive while UT is more like an message (email) system. Different concepts. Neither is better. Not sure if comparing an offline reader to a web interface is valid. UT matches CIS feature for feature quite well. UT membership + internet access (I believe) is still cheaper than CIS access.

>>Fourthly, the quality of support one can get from CIS from Tamar, Christof, Andy, Paul, Marcia, and others is totally first-rate, on-the-ball, timely, and without weakness whatsoever.

>Let's not get into... our MVPs are better than yours battle. That's not productive at all.

>What this arguement comes down to is preference. You like CIS or you like UT better.
