>My mouse hand/wrist has been getting sore lately too. Especially with the cooler weather. While waiting for a appointment with the doctor, I switched to using my left hand for the mouse. Surprisingly it only took 3 days to make the transition.

They do make mousepads nowadays with a wrist rest, but for me it didnt feel natural although I know other folks who swear by them.

When I first went to see the Doc about the problems with my hands as soon as he heard I worked with computers he immediately jumped to the conclusion it was CT and treated me for that, which included putting me in strapon wrist braces and my discomfort increased ten fold. Ended up the wrist braces made my bad hand swell, and it wasnt until I forced the Doc to measure the diameter around my hand and lower arm before and after a few days of wearing the darn thing that it finally occurred to him it was something other than CT. Theh he sent me off for some test (I cant remember the proper medical term unfortunately) that pushed minor electric impulses through my arms and it became obvious CT wasnt the problem.

Needless to say I was highly bent out of shape they didnt send me for this test right off & instead made me pay for those useless braces & pain killers that made me downright stupid. Then when they found the tendonitis of course they tried dope me up on muscle relaxers that made me even more stupid... I'm not one for brain imparing drugs & I ended up finding much better help from a martial arts sensi with a masters degree in physical therapy who taught me exercises & stretches that alleviate the problem entirely! My Doc doesnt believe it but that's his problem. It's been over five years now and I havent had to refill my prescriptions for muscle relaxers and/or pain killers once (knocking on wood).

So word of advice here, if your Doc jumps to the CT conclusion ask about this electric impulse test.
