Codage, syntaxe et commandes
The problem that I'm having is in trying to span a mixed
FPW/VFP world. Under certain circumstances, BROWSE
gets a lot of work done for very little effort. Like many
others who have posted here, I too have been frustrated
with "disappearing " properties of grids built with the form designer
(i.e., columns changing in width, headings changing,
etc).
As a continuation of this thread, I also welcome suggestions
about how to get the most out of grids with the least hassle.
Still seems that one has the choice of either binding a
grid to a table/query using default properties, or writing a lot
of "WITH THISGrid" type of code, or subclassing a grid.
Otherwise, properties of the grid just disappear whenever
its data source is dynamically changed.
Because of this, BROWSE sometimes seems to be
a lot less trouble for what you can get from it.
