>Thanks for the reply Joe, but I need to put some code in the OnComm() event generated by the MSComm object. I'm currently looking at the With Events keyword which seem to be what I'm looking for to hook the OnComm() event to a custom event but I wonder if it will work if I have multiples COM server running on the same machine and each server create an instance of MSComm (the machine have multiple modems).
:(

seems like once you've done a CreateObject we should be able to do it... What if you dropped it on a form created your code. Removed it from the form did the create object naming your object the same moving the event code to your module where you create the object... I guess for all that you could use a form that is loaded but not shown....

Just thinking out loud a little. Dangerous, I know.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
