You can go to this key, do an export of this as a back up. Then delete any junk from there that you no longer need. This could really make your bootup faster [depending how much you clean out]. If something goes wrong all you have to do is import the exported REG file you created, and try again.

It could also be the RunService subkey, or a LOAD or RUN entry in WIN.INI. If it's Win98 or Win2K, use the MSCONFIG utility to go through and hit all the highpoints - it will get you to all the places, StartUp folders, INI files and registry, that might be involved.
